DiALOG 2012: 1. forum on Enterprise Information Management celebrates excellent premier

Böblingen, May 4th 2012. At the conclusion of the DiALOG 2012 The Quality Group GmbH as exhibitor, and the participants all gave a favorable summary. As in every year, the participants made extensive use of the present opportunity to exchange know-how and to learn about the latest developments in the fields of risk management and Enterprise Information Management. Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of Directors of The Quality Group, emphasized in particular the added value of the DiALOG 2012: “For us it is chiefly a matter of making sure that every participant has several possible solutions for his specific business processes.”

Versatile Program

The common theme of the DiALOG 2012 was the continual extraction of information and its usage within the company. An important conclusion: It is largely a matter of being guided by transparent and comprehensive information and then defining the relevant parameters from that. And just how this objective could be attained was the topic of discussion by participants in different roundtables. For example, one topic was the extent to which Compliance Management Systems eat up budget, how a global contract management system can be established or how bid solicitation files can allow an efficient selection of suppliers.   Some practical experiences were reported on integrated risk management by Dyckerhoff AG, Compliance Training by German Lloyd and Contract Management at the Marienhospital in Stuttgart. The program was framed by a keynote address by Prof. Dr. Hans Ulrich Buhl from the University of Augsburg, a review of Enterprise Information Management by Steffen Schaar and a presentation by Prof. Dr. Robert Fieten from BME e.V., who presented different approaches for successful businesses in uncertain times.

Numerous networking opportunities

The roundtable discussions, an exclusive evening exposition and numerous opportunities for personal conversation offered all parties the chance for improved networking in their technical fields. Steffen Schaar praised in particular the open atmosphere of the DiALOG 2012. “Everywhere one found a great interest in looking beyond just the bounds of one’s own experience and in finding definitive approaches for improving of information and risk management within an individual firm.” So it is not surprising that even at this time numerous appointments have already been made for the next DiALOG.
