Berlin, April 30, 2015. Now in its fourth year, DiALOG 2015, the only international specialist forum for Enterprise Information Management (EIM), has seen its attendance record broken yet again. Over two information-packed days in the Hotel Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof, more than 130 delegates discussed every aspect of Enterprise Information Management, under the theme of "Plan the future with EIM”. "The agenda was based on two pillars - firstly, operators and users talk about their successes and approaches around organisational processes and their (IT) projects. Secondly, all topics from the trend of EIM, such as data-, knowledge- and process management or compliance are addressed and can be discussed with experts from both from the practical experience side, as well as education", said Steffen Schaar, organiser and moderator of the conference event. He added, "The main benefit of the event is that employees and managers are able to collect ideas and suggestions relating to their individual challenges, as well as establishing new networks and strengthening existing ones." At the event kick-off, Frank A. Dassler highlighted both the issue of compliance at adidas AG and the opportunities and potential that arise from the establishment of an effective Compliance Management System. He emphasised the importance of ethics and integrity as a driver in the successful anchoring of compliance within the corporate culture. The challenges that lawyers face today and in the future was the subject of an informative presentation from Joern Lipkow of Carl Zeiss AG. In particular, he looked at disruptive trends, such as online communities that have the potential to change how work is done in the law business and take it in completely new directions. These trends were further explored by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Riemke-Gurzki on the second day of the conference, under the theme of "Information. Communication. People!”, where he underlined, in particular, the importance of a social intranet in the evolution of internal communication. Presentations on key topics, such as process-, master data- and contract management and Industry 4.0 rounded off the programme. The finalists of last year's DiALOG Awards 2014 shared valuable insights into successful organisation projects and their practical experience. The day ended on a look at the wider theme of status and power games in everyday business communication. In her presentation, Ute Vondenhof explained how to recognize and deal with these important matters effectively. Another highpoint this year was the presentation of the DiALOG Award "Excellence with EIM" during the EIM gala event. Among the five finalists, Tigges GmbH & Co. KG clinched the title with their project "Information by Compliance". They were presented with the award by Peter J. Schmerler, Managing Director of VOI e.V. and patron of the event, for their future-orientated structure and user concepts in administrative business processes. The date for the next DiALOG expert forum has already been set: The 28th and 29th April 2016 will see delegates in Dresden discussing everything there is to know about the topic of Enterprise Information Management. The event will also see the third DiALOG Award presented.
